Understanding Lust
Lust is the disordered desire for sexual pleasure outside of its proper context in marriage. It reduces persons to objects of gratification and separates the unitive and procreative aspects of human sexuality from their sacred purpose.

- 2.Develop accountability with a trusted friend or spiritual director
- 3.Pray daily for purity of heart and mind
- 4.Receive the sacraments frequently, especially Confession
- 5.Replace lustful thoughts with prayer and meditation
A Prayer for Deliverance from Lust
Lord Jesus, purify my heart and mind. Help me to see others as You see them—as beloved children of God worthy of respect and dignity. Grant me the grace of chastity and the strength to overcome temptation. Amen.
