Jesus Meets the Women of Jerusalem
We adore You, O Christ, and we bless You, because by Your holy Cross You have redeemed the world.
Reflection
The women of Jerusalem weep for Jesus, but He turns to them with a warning: 'Weep not for me, but for yourselves and for your children.' True sorrow is not merely emotional but leads to conversion and amendment of life.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, grant me the gift of true contrition—sorrow for my sins not just because of their consequences, but because they offend You, who are all-good. Help me to weep for my sins and turn from them. Amen.
