Veronica Wipes the Face of Jesus
We adore You, O Christ, and we bless You, because by Your holy Cross You have redeemed the world.
Reflection
Veronica, moved by compassion, pushes through the hostile crowd to wipe the face of Jesus. Her small act of kindness is rewarded with His image imprinted on her cloth. Every act of mercy, however small, leaves an imprint of Christ on our souls.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, give me the courage to show compassion even when it is unpopular. Help me to see Your face in the suffering, the poor, and the marginalized, and to respond with love and mercy. Amen.
