What is Eucharistic Adoration?
Eucharistic Adoration is a devotional practice where the consecrated Host—the Body of Christ—is displayed in a monstrance for the faithful to pray before. It is a profound opportunity to spend time in the Real Presence of Jesus.
A "Holy Hour" is the tradition of spending one full hour in adoration, though any amount of time before the Blessed Sacrament is beneficial. Many parishes offer Perpetual Adoration, where the Eucharist is exposed 24 hours a day.

Before You Begin
• Find a church with Eucharistic Adoration (check parish schedules)
• Silence your phone and set aside distractions
• Genuflect toward the tabernacle or monstrance as you enter
• Bring a Bible, rosary, or spiritual reading (optional)
• Don't worry about "doing it right" – just be present

Suggested Structure for Your Holy Hour
First 15 min
Adoration
Praise God for who He is. Simply gaze upon the Host and acknowledge His presence.
Second 15 min
Contrition
Examine your conscience. Ask for forgiveness and healing for your sins and failings.
Third 15 min
Thanksgiving
Thank God for His blessings. Read Scripture or spiritual writings. Listen to His voice.
Final 15 min
Supplication
Present your needs and intercede for others. Pray for the Church, world peace, and loved ones.
Remember:
There is no "wrong" way to spend time with Jesus. Whether you pray the Rosary, read Scripture, sit in silence, pour out your heart, or simply rest in His presence—He is delighted that you came. As St. John Vianney said of a peasant who spent hours before the tabernacle: "I look at Him, and He looks at me." That is the essence of Eucharistic Adoration.

Lord Jesus, present in the Blessed Sacrament,
I believe that You are truly present—Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity.
I adore You with all my heart and soul.
Grant me the grace to love You more deeply
and to receive You worthily in Holy Communion.
May my time in Your presence transform my heart
and draw me ever closer to You.
